So it’s the height of summer and the parties just seem to get better and better. Personally I love the intense atmosphere inside for the winter events, however the feel good factor of the summer events cannot be beaten as has been demonstrated in the last couple of parties which have been absolute scorchers.

We have an old ES favourite performing in August in the shape of ORKIDEA. Hailing from Finland this will be Tapsa’s 3rd boat party appearance and he is always a popular choice with the ES faithful.

ElectronicSessions

Orkidea

It’s been amazing eighteen years since Tapsa started organizing illegal raves in the squat houses of Helsinki in early 90s. His most bizarre experience must have been DJing for Jean-Paul Gaultier and Helena Christensen at a Berlin fetish club called KitKat after their first ever Berlin show. Most flashy ones have been entertaining the rich & famous of Hong Kong and Russia while warming up for The Chemical Brothers, Paul Van Dyk and Underworld was no doubt something he will never forget. Venues he’s DJed include Tresor in Berlin, Pacha in Ibiza, Panama in Amsterdam and Code in Tokyo.

His recording career started in 1998 with Slusink Luna’sNicklas Renqvist. ‘Unity’ was signed to British Steelfish label and found it’s way to Gatecrasher and Renaissance compilations. Sasha and Oakenfold opened their Essential Mixes with it and Pete Tong played it on BBC Radio 1. Gigs with Dj Tiesto lead into signing to his Black Hole label while other releases include ‘Embrace’ on Five AM, ‘Beautiful’ on Sential (Finnish national singles chart #1) and the Andy Moor collab ‘YearZero’ on Andy’s AVA label. His remixes include Aalto’s ‘Rush’ made together with Super8, Stage One remix made for Hooh Choons and more recently Way Out West’s Killa which started out as a bootleg.

He has run Club Unity for over ten years, promoted Renaissance’s events in Helsinki and organized events called ”Pacifique” for almost 3000 people in a water par and has made many remixes for big trance labels like Anjunabeats or Hooj Choons and for artists like Tiësto, Tilt and Way Out West. Dj

When not Djing he is also employed as a sound design manager at the Nokia Corporation.

Dave Horne

Up and coming Dj who is a regular at The Gallery in London and is playing for us for the second time after performing a storming set 2 years ago warming up for Andrew Bennett and Mr Sam. He has 2 tracks out on the massive Anjunadeep label ‘q.e.d’ and also ‘In our Dreams’ . He is also signed to Solaris and Baroque under the DJH Alias and has a new single ‘For so long’ about to come out on Alter Ego Records. His sound is essentially melodic progressive.

Robin Thurston

Robin will be playing on his 4th boat party for us having also performed at The Gallery, Ministry of Sound as well as recent international dates at La Diosa in Buenos Aries as well as in Punte Del Este. He is also making good progress on the production front with new track ‘crossroads’ coming out on the Progressive Grooves Label. A collaboration he did with Dave Horne.

Jumby & Scotty A

ES regulars Jumby & Scotty.A’s popularity continues to grow with their recent reputation for playing 5 hour sets at a very popular late night bar / terrace in Norwich. They’ve also just headlined for another very popular house night called overdose, which was very well received. Scotty.A has been pursuing a solo production career over the last 13months & has already been crowned the global underground / Mixmag Bedroom producer of 2009/10. He’s eagerly awaiting his first official release, which comes courtesy of Aquasounds, a new progressive house label based out of Miami. So you can expect a very fresh & up front prog & techno sound from Jumby & Scotty.A onboard on the 7th!

Alan Sykes & Rhys Thomas

Second appearance for ES and are getting more and more noticed in England having played at the Emporium in Coalville for Passion and with gigs coming up in Birmingham. They have held a residency for the massive Escape in Swansea for some time as well as for another trance night in Wales called Delusion and also have upcoming radio projects and productions lined up.

” I heard them play a recent gig in Swansea and was very impressed. I’ve played many a gig where the dj warming up / playing after me has been not so good. It made a refreshing change to hear them play and im sure they have a bright future ahead of them” (Jon O’Bir)

Ben Carton

Ben is our ever reliable resident who will be making his first appearance of the summer after playing the set of his life in between Adam Sheridan and Mike Foyle in May. Ben’s versatility makes him the perfect resident and he continues to impress us with his energy and enthusiasm behind the decks. Guaranteed to get everyone dancing he is certainly a Dj for the future as well as present.

Twin Beatz

TwinBeatz are a double act dj team made up of Daniel James (Ministry & Pacha) and Will Craig ( Ministry and ES Paradis resident). Their sound is predominantly the Electro Tech House sound with an ear for a good baseline and glitchy vocals with lots of energy. Making their 3rd appearance for ElectronicSessions they are a must see duo.

Bill Eaton

A veteran of the festival scene and member of the notorious Curious Yellow Soundsystem, Bill will move the floor with beats that range from blissed out Balearica to hypnotic techno.

Loui and Bomber

Loui & Bomber are two experienced DJs and producers from the South West Of England. Both honed in the early 90’s. Previous individual residencies have been some of the countries most well known and best loved nightclubs including the original and infamous Plymouth Warehouse, Lakota and The Depot.
Loui was a 9 year resident at Plymouth Warehouse as part of the Twilight Twins which Loui founded in the early 90’s playing early Progressive House which culminated in deals with Prognosis and Rebel records and the release of numerous tracks including “Love on your side”. Bomber was a 5 year resident for High Risk Promotions at the Depot and Lakota in Bristol. In that time we’ve warmed up for many of the early scenes biggest names.

After a chance meeting in 2008 we hooked up to play back to back as Loui and Bomber and mainly play – Twisted Electro, Filthy Tech and Dirty Breaks sets. Since then they have been playing for us at Ministry Of Sound and the Boat, La Dolce Vita at the White House and The Driver, Magnetic in Torquay, Spectrum of Sound in Plymouth and their own Eze Tiger night. They have also just confirmed residencies with two new nights to hit the South West, The Resistance in Exeter and Filthy Animal in Cornwall.

Quanta

Highly talented techno and tech house Dj from Glasgow but living in Brighton making his 5th appearance for us now. Always knows how to work the crowd and a real talent behind the decks

Shane Fernandes

Shane is a regular for us at Plastic Fondu, regularly ramming the dancefloor with peak time sets at Ministry of Sound. Hailing from Goa in India he recently played to thousands of people over there on a tour where he is loved and appreciated by many people! driving house music at its finest.

Anthony Bolton

This is Anthony’s first boat party slot after impressing us recently at Ministry of Sound. His style of progressive house and trance works a treat and you can look forward to him kicking off the boat party in style.

Afterparty @ Ministry Of Sound

The summer parties are in full flow and June’s was probably our best one of the year for music and atmosphere. A really up for it crowd on a fantastic summers evening in London. Moving the headliners downstairs seems to work well and it is something we will continue to look at doing in the future.

For July we have a house legend joining us in Pete Gooding, a man who’s been behind the decks at Cafe Mambo in Ibiza for eight hours a night for the last seven years. Pete’s unique quality is that he’s equally capable of rocking main rooms as backrooms, bars or even a chilled terrace. Unmistakably Pete Gooding’s dj’ing is a little bit special. For us though he will be rocking the main room with pumping house at its finest!

He has combined his marathon sets at Cafe Mambo with residencies at El Divino, Renaissance, and Cream in Mallorca. Pete also plays regularly for Radio 1 on their Ibiza weekends as well as doing a guest mix on Pete Tong’s Essential Selection Show. The season ended on a real high when Pete won the highly acclaimed award for “Best Ibiza DJ ” at the Pacha Awards.

Over the last seven Years Pete’s has become an Ibizan institution because of those very special nightly sunset journeys, which has led to him compiling the award winning Café Mambo compilations for the past five years. Throughout each summer he has written his own column in DJ Magazine’s monthly Ibiza supplement in addition to continuing as singles reviewer for the magazine. We are delighted he is flying over especially to play this gig from his busy Ibiza schedule.

Pete’s career has not been limited to the White Isle, on his return at the end of each summer, Pete forfeits his right to a well earned rest by playing the length and breadth of the U.K. and also tirelessly touring further a field, playing in over twenty five countries worldwide. We are delighted to welcome such a house legend to play on board the boat. Lets hope he brings some Balearic weather with him too!

Joining Pete on deck will be The Persuaders who have already played around 15 boat parties for us now, and are our longest serving residents. You can check out their latest podcast by going here: www.soundcloud.com/thepersuaders.

Ian Tucker and Alex Maxwell are a very talented duo from Guildford who have played at Ministry of Sound for us as well as numerous other top clubs around the country and capital. They have been busy of late launching their ‘Evissa Soul’ brand and you can be sure these two will be armed with a selection of infectious deep tech house cuts to move the dance floor!

Chase and Kingy are a duo who have really moved on since we booked them a few years ago. Their Trigger Funk nights in the capital are going from strength to strength and they are even hosting a boat party of their own in September. They will be joined by Mike Fry and Eddie Mo who have played the boat previously at the back end of last year, their mix of house and tech will go down a treat. Completing the line up on this deck will be newcomer to ES Elearto. Having made his Ministry Of Sound and Plastic Fondu debut for us last time out we were delighted to give him the opportunity to play on the boat. A skilful and diverse Dj who is well worth checking out!

The other deck will be focussing on the more melodic sound of electronic music with some quality tech and prog going through to trance. We have invited an old favourite down from the Midlands in Shaun Mynett. After closing February’s Nocturnal party, following on from Matt Darey, Shaun Mynett returns for his third stint on the ElectronicSessions CDJs. Both of previous visits have been floor filling success stories, and there’s no doubt that his next set for us will be equally crowd pleasing.

For a taste of Shaun’s of uplifting, driving progressive style, look no further than his ‘Progressive With A Punch’ radio show, airing on the third Tuesday of every month on Sense FM.

Sound Cloud – http://soundcloud.com/shaun-mynett/shaun-mynett

Our 3 regulars on this deck will be our loveable resident Jez Eyre, Leolife in the form of Steve G and Luke Curran and the ever reliable Mark Myers. All 4 are veterans on the boat parties and that says it all really. They are an extremely talented lot who never disappoint! Leolife have taken a few months off and are back to showcase some of their new productions with a slightly trancier sound. You can check out their podcast here: www.leolife.podomatic.com

Making there ES debuts in July will be the talented duo of Steve Holland and Nick Pietrzak. Steve Holland is a dj from the south coast who plays a mixture of tech and prog. He has already played alongside Mat Zo, Jaytech, Boom Jinx and Andrew Bayer where he warmed up the main bar at Ministry of Sound. Following on from Steve will be another Dj from the same kind of sound who played also recently for Plastic Fondu at MOS and did a very fine job.

Headlining the Upper Deck will be Passion resident Genix who has built up a reputation as one of the freshest dance artists around with his cutting edge production and DJ sets that have cemented his name on the biggest line ups around the world, standing shoulder to shoulder with the likes of Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, Sander Van Doorn and Judge Jules. His DJ career has taken him across the globe playing at some of the most elite clubs across the UK, all over Europe, China, USA, Russia and Ibiza’s Judgement Sunday’s as well as being resident DJ and promoter for UK superclub Passion, where the world’s most famous DJ’s appear on a monthly basis for the past 15 years.

In 2005 Genix achieved a Guinness World Record for the longest DJ set in history with a massive 84 hours. Whilst raising money for a charity Genix has his name was printed in the world’s most published book! It was only a few years later that the talented technician became Judge Jules ‘Big Tip’ for 2008, following consistent support from the dance music legend Genix featured on Jules’ BBC Radio 1 show with a guest mix and interview.

On the production side of things Genix has developed his own sound – a fusion of Tech, Trance, Progressive, House and Electro… it’s hard to define the Genix sound but you know when you hear it! Groovy and infectious basslines and stomping beats combine with uplifting and electronic elements!

His productions are showcased by the elite DJ’s on major radio stations such as the BBC, ASOT, Tiesto’s Clublife, TATW and Galaxy. Armin made ‘Copius Cain’ ASOT tune of the week, presented Genix with a guestmix on his ASOT 400 show as well as making Genix artiste of the week on the Armada website, check this link out for more info:

http://supra.armadamusic.nl/news/2009/04/2563/

This will be Genix’s first appearance for ES as well as his first appearance in London for a good while so make sure you check him out!

Saturday 5th June 2010
The Golden Jubilee
Temple Pier (by Temple tube), Victoria Embankment, LONDON
17.45-23.45
£20/£22

4 Parties down, 8 to go in 2010 and we have some really exciting stuff planned. Adam Sheridan played one of the best ES sets in a long time downstairs on May Bank Holiday and we will most definitely be getting him back early next year. Also a special mention to Mike Foyle who was solid as ever for us. Mike has played for us previously, but never on the boat and he finished the party off in style.

June will see us getting back a firm ES favourite in Jon O’Bir. Jon needs little introduction as it will be his third appearance on the boat, as well as being a resident previously at Godskitchen and is still a regular there and at all the top trance promotions around. 2010 has already been one of the busiest for Jon with performances literally all over the globe from Venezuela to Ministry of Sound in London to The Far East to the United States. His artist album Introspectrum has proved a real success and his radio show ‘Ways and Means’ has now been airing for more than 4 years.

We switched the main decks around for the May party and this is something we will consider again for June, but a decision will be made nearer the time.

Joining Mr O’Bir will be a rising star in ES debutant Ali Wilson who has already played for some of the biggest promotions around including Trance Energy and Judgement Sunday and has also produced for some of the top labels in the world – Warner, Armada, High Contrast, Toolroom, CR2, Spinnin, Incharge, Flashover and of course his own imprint TEKELEC. Labelled by Judge Jules and Carl Cox as one of their DJs to watch, Ali has pushed his way into the record boxes of the biggest names in the industry and receives their continuous support.
Ali’s production has taken things to another level when media giant Warner asked Ali to remix The BBC Sound of 2009 award winner ‘Little Boots’ not only once but twice after they were so happy with the first single. From these he’s now been asked to remix the world’s biggest artists such as Tiesto and Bloc Party! His tech trance, driving sound is not to be missed!

Our residents for the night are the incredible talents that are Jamie Parnell and Matt Weeks. Playing off of 3 decks Jamie has been a revelation for us with his driving, uplifting and dirty beats and his passion and enthusiasm behind the decks is second to none. Don’t miss out on this extended set from Jamie…..Matt Weeks’ sound of progressive and melodic house always works well on the boat..Matt can fit into a number of genres and is a real talent to watch.

Our guests this month include debutants in the shape of tech house maestro Roshan Tajapra, making his ES debut alongside the Super Mario Brothers, who will be playing their first intimate venue in sometime after touring the UK festivals belting their House sound out. You can also catch them at Tiesto in the Park this summer in London. We have invited back some firm ES favourites in Danny Moggs and Tim Cullen for their first ES gigs of the year and following them will be Baratone who some will know better as Tyler D. Otherwise known as Dean Tyler, he and Torque will be playing on their 3rd boat party in under a year. Need I say more?

Completing the line up are 3 DJs who have continuously smashed it at Ministry of Sound for our sister night Plastic Fondu. Duncan M, Richie C and Olly Holmes play a mixture of driving progressive, tech house and dirty house and are well worth checking out!

So for the biggest bargain in town, where you can watch the sun go down cruising up and down the Thames, with pub prices, some of the best DJs around and in the best city in the world…what more could you want for a Saturday night in the summer?

AFTERPARTY @ MINISTRY OF SOUND WITH CONNECTED

The birthday in February and the Anjunadeep party in March most certainly lived up to expectations. Michael Cassette and Solarity’s storming 4 hours of uplifting house, progressive and trance was one of the highlights of ES over the past few years and we will be keeping this high quality standard of bookings as the year moves on.

Yet again the party was a sell out and that is officially are 36th sell out in a row. Doing these monthly was a risk, but one that definitely has paid off and is helping ES go from strength to strength.

Musically we toughen things up slightly for May on the upper deck, with the usual driving, uplifting and dirty house and electro downstairs. Adam Sheridan will be making his long awaited debut for us alongside an ES favourite Mike Foyle, who has supported us when ES Have gone on tour in the UK. The bank holiday will not get any better than this and we have 2 days to recover so time to party hard!

Michael Cassette
Michael Cassette are quickly becoming many people’s favourite Progressive House act, thanks to a string of magnificent productions on the Anjunadeep label that have captured the attention of the masses with their tracks starting to crop up ever more regularly on the worlds best Dj’s playlists. It’s interesting to see how they combine influences from the 80’s into their melodic breakdowns, while balancing it out with modern and funky beats & basslines. Definitely an act to watch out for, especially if you like your Progressive House in equal parts melodic and funky.

Komytea is the collaboration between producers Matti Heininen and Erkka Lempiäinen. Today, Komytea’s deep, dark and twisted sound has rendered it one of the key names in cutting-edge progressive house, and Komytea’s productions have been included in remarkable compilations such as Above & Beyond’s Anjunadeep: Vols.1 and 2, James Zabiela’s Renaissance: The Masters, and Ministry of Sound Clubbers’ Guide 2008.

Michael Cassette made a huge impact at the forefront of the dance scene, with tracks like “Zeppelin” and “Shadow’s movement”. Combining up-to-the-minute production techniques with retro influences and nostalgic, melancholic melodies, the music of Michael Cassette is nothing if not unique.

Komytea presents Michael Cassette LIVE is a unique new concept act comprised of live performance and visuals, bringing together music from each extremity of the duo’s sonic spectrum, and everything in between. Not to be missed.

This will be their first appearance for ElectronicSessions and one we are very excited about.

Solarity

Solarity are the much-hyped duo of Alfie Granger-Howell and Nick Harriman, both born and raised in London.

Since their very first release appeared in the record crates of some of the world’s most popular DJs in July 2008, Solarity have been proving themselves as a shining beacon of innovation in an often stagnant musical world. In a time in dance music where genre continues to be obsessed over, Solarity have been pioneering their unique sound with a healthy disregard for categories and labels. Their music takes in the best aspects of techno, house, trance and everything in between, fusing it together in a potent mix that is full of both musicality and emotion. From hypnotic grooves and understated melodies, to epic breakdowns and mind-bending electronics, their music has been eagerly winning over fans on a global level, DJs and clubbers alike.

Headline names from traditionally separate corners of the dance music world have been championing their sound, from Armin van Buuren, Above and Beyond and Nick Warren to Dubfire and Laurent Garnier. With a stream of releases and gigs scheduled for the near future, this duo are quickly moving up the ranks to become some of the brightest up and coming talents in dance music.Again making an ES debut we are very excited to see them perform.

ElectronicSessions 4TH BIRTHDAY!
In Association with Nocturnal
Saturday 27th February 2010
The Golden Jubilee
Temple Pier, Temple Tube
London
17.30-00.00
£20
www.electronicsessions.co.uk

It all started in February 2006 when we kicked off ES parties at Se1’s ‘Deep Blue Arena’ with Ashley Casselle, John Askew, Gavyn Mytchell and Andy Bagguley. We would like to think 4 years on we are still pushing boundaries and putting on some of the best and most upfront line ups in the Capital. We have come a long way since then though. With regular parties at Deep Blue in 2006 with the likes of Andy Moor, Simon Patterson and the forementioned we moved onto Hidden in Vauxhall for 4 parties in 2007 with some of the worlds biggest Trance Djs like Gareth Emery, Solarstone, Matt Hardwick, John O’Callaghan and Lange, to name just a few. We also tried out new up-and-coming venues, like Corsica Studios, where we handed London and UK debuts to the likes of Leon Bolier, Jonas Steur, Andrew Bennett and Re:Locate.

It was in 2007 that the boat parties really started to kick off and over the past 4 years we have managed to sell out over 25, which has been an incredible experience for us. It was something we realised no one else was doing on a regular basis and has taken off more than we could of have ever imagined. If you like dancing to some of the best Djs in the world, in an intimate surrounding, with 240 other people then this is for you! Basically one big house party on the Thames.

Over 300 Djs have now graced the ES turntables on the Thames with headliners including Andy Moor, Agnelli and Nelson, Menno De Jong, Futureshock, Jody Wisternoff, Smith & Pledger, Sied Van Riel, Prok and Fitch, Orkidea, Dj Montana, Phil Kieren, Jon O’Bir, Slacker, Greg Downey, Dj Tab & Super 8, David West, Ronski Speed…..the list goes on and on. 2010 is the year we hope to take things up yet another level and we feel for our 4th birthday there is no one better to fit the bill than a legend in the music industry. None other than Matt Darey…..

MATT DAREY

www.mattdarey.com

Matt has been one of the pioneers of today’s dance scene being a major influence on today’s world class DJ’s. Because of this, and the fact that this will be Matt’s first London appearance in well over a year, makes this a very special gig.

Throughout his 17 year career of producing & writing house, trance, breaks and progressive and much more he has sold well over 2 million albums & singles with numerous top 10 & top 20 chart hits.

His Nocturnal radio show is the worlds fastest expanding multi genre dance radio show now broadcast on 116 FM stations worldwide. In recent years Matt has been playing his unique “Nocturnal” blend of many styles including electro, progressive, tech, trance and occasional house & breaks. Matt’s new project is an album by his rocktronica band alias `Urban Astronauts` which fuses rock influences with EDM and will be released in 2008…

Matt Darey started his musical career back in 1992 when he released his own independent record and soon after signed his first major album deal with Warner Bro’s and Sire Records in NYC. Matt’s productions have been a major influence on many of today’s top DJ’s like Oakenfold, Tiesto, Armin Van Buren, Paul Van Dyk, Above & Beyond and many more. A chameleon of sound, Matt has produced everything from breaks to house to trance and progressive and was responsible for some of the pinnacle tracks and top ten chart hits to come from the scene including Li Kwan – Point Zero, Lost Tribe – Game Master, ATB – Till I Come, Binary Finary – 1998, Grace – Not Over Yet, Matt Darey – Beautiful and countless others! Constantly touring the globe Matt is respected as a leading DJ in the scene bringing a truly international & Multi genre flavor to his sets.

Li Kwan – Point Zero was one of the first records to be made of the new Genre that then went on to be known as Trance. Embraced by leading DJ’s at the time Pete Tong who made Matt his essential new tune twice and Paul Oakenfold who quoted that Li Kwan was in his top 5 all time fav tracks. Following on from that Matt got into the remix game and turned out numerous club hits which are listed in the discography section. Meanwhile Matt launched his new act Lost Tribe and created one of the all time club anthems Gamemaster on the legendary Hooj Choons label. Matt also went on to launch artists like Tall Paul and Agnelli & Nelson in to the top 20 for the first time with his massive A-side productions.

Since 1998 he sold well over 2 million singles and albums with the Darey imprint, and has been responsible for some of the biggest remixes and productions. Matt took a vacation from the world of music for almost 3 years from 2001 to 2004 and then came back to launch his own label Darey Products. Today he continues to push forward the sounds of dance music into new areas with his rock influenced productions and has continued to tour the globe with his own unique blend of music from many genres.

It’s not often we bring the labels in to represent themselves, however after the success of Andy Moor’s AVA Party last year we thought this was the perfect opportunity to bring in another one.

TYRRELL

www.tyrrell-online.com

Hailing from Toronto, Canada. Tyrrell moved to London to continue and progress with his music career in the 1990’s. First and foremost a fantastic producer, and engineering for the likes of David Bowie, A Guy Called Gerald, Boy George, George Michael, Blue Pearl , Simply Red, Giles Peterson, Lilly Allen, Ronie Size and Dirty South to name a few you can see how widespread his talent must be. Producing also for the Stero Mc’s and The Orb, his experience and expertise grew and is now making some of the best progressive and top quality house music around. He has been hand picked by Matt Darey himself who is a huge fan of his work and we are all very much looking forward to him making his ES Debut !

THE PERSUADERS

www.myspace.com/shaunmynett

Shaun’s “prog’ with a punch” DJ style went down very well at his ES debut in September, and for Plastic Fondu back in April where he played one of the sets of the night.
In 2009, Shaun appeared at clubs including Ministry Of Sound and Gatecrasher, alongside Ronski Speed, Andy Duguid, Seamus Haji, Sonny Wharton, Alex P, and also featured as a Nu Breed DJ on Galaxy FM with Riley & Durrant.

LEOLIFE

www.myspace.com/leolifemusic

LeoLife aka Luke Curran & Stephen Glide were formed back in June 2009. Luke & Stephen have known each for nearly 10 years so joining forces was an easy decision for them both. Before LeoLife, they had been DJ’ing individually in some of London’s top nightclubs causing some serious dancefloor damage, so by bringing their combined DJ experiences and skills together, a formidable partnership was created.

LeoLife pride themselves on their versatility in terms of music selection and set arrangement. Luke and Stephen have experience in a variance of set times and music genres ranging from house warm-up sets to big room Trance closing sets as well as driving Techno sets. Peak time sets are just as regular for LeoLife and the carefully chosen tracks reflect exactly the party atmosphere generated in the room. Being perfectionists, LeoLife are highly skilled when it comes to mixing techniques and using effects to compliment mixes and build ups.

The beginning of 2010 went down a storm playing the midnight set on New Years Eve at Scala under the Fused brand alongside Internationally acclaimed Smartie Partie, which is a sign of how far LeoLife have come in just over a year of Dj’ing. 2010 is set be a follow on of 2009’s success, with sets at potentially many new venues across the country as well as moving further into the realms of music production. Already there are a few tracks in progress with a view to exposing them in DJ sets over the course of the next year.

MARK MYERS

Mark has been playing for us now for nearly a year and this is already his 4th appearance. A Popular Dj who really knows how to set the tone of the night. The very best in progressive and tech house! We are delighted he will be performing on this special occasion!

BEN RUFFELL

Having played at some of the top clubs in London we are giving this young Dj his debut and a great place to showcase his progressive and electro based sound. Having played on the continent at clubs like BCM In Majorca as well he isn’t short of experience for his age.

Completing the line up we have TONGUE AND GROOVE who are a couple of Dynamic dj’s with exciting sounds, intergrated styles, with a passion for dance/club music and TWIN BEATZ who are a very talented due in the tech house, progressive mold, making their second ES appearances.

Prog Legend Jody Wisternoff is making his second appearance for us at ES after playing alongside Mat Zo on the September 2008 party. He is best known as one half of the Bristol progressive house duo Way Out West and as a producer of dance music spanning early 90s hardcore to electro house.

However Wisternoff met with fellow DJ Nick Warren in a Bristol record shop which saw the birth of the progressive house act Way Out West. Fusing the dub sounds of Bristol with club beats the duo saw the peak of their success in the mid to late 90s with tracks like “The Gift” and “Ajare”.
Recently Jody has been producing solo 80s inspired electro house tracks, with three productions released thus far: ‘Cold Drink, Hot Girl,’ ‘Nostalgia’ and ‘Starstrings.’
Way Out West’s long-awaited fourth album, titled “We Love Machine,” was released on October 6, 2009 and the duo are also planning a live tour.
In addition to the upcoming fourth Way Out West album, Wisternoff plans to release a solo album and continue his prolific DJ work. He will be showcasing some new material on board and this is definately something you will not want to miss!

November was arguably one of the most Enjoyable ES Boat parties to date. There is a real sense of atmosphere about the winter parties. One that just cannot be created in the summer. Sold out with 250 people inside going nuts over 2 dancefloors is something we all love to see and these are really created with the parties towards the back end of the year. We were all treated to an incredible fireworks display as well and most people came off deck having the night of their life!

December’s is notoriously just as good. Last year we had the boys from Leeds ‘Digital Society’ down and put on a fantastic party for the masses, and this year is no different. Taking a slightly different direction we have invited two Djs yet to appear at ES Jon Rundell and Jon Gurd aswell as a return for our good friend Greg Downey, hot of the back of some storming productions and a world tour.

Greg Downey

Greg Downey is one of the shining stars of the UK Trance scene right now. His consistent, high quality production really stands out when you hear it in a club and his skills on the decks make him a truly versatile DJ who will always deliver regardless of which slot he is allocated. This is Gregs second ES appearance after playing on our first ever boat party !!! 20 sell out boat parties later and Greg is back, stronger than ever!

www.myspace.com/gregdowney

www.gregdowney.com

Jon Rundell

Carl Cox sums things up nicely: “I think Jon’s a jewel in the crown. He’s really great with the crowd and his music. He’s been a great support to me. Put him in front of 30,000 people and he really goes for it. He naturally warms the crowds up. We always discuss what we’ll both be playing and he goes out there and does it. At the moment he’s better than most top DJs I could mention.”

We are very excited about Jon’s debut at ES. He has been Djing now for 10 years and tours the globe each year showcasing his unique techno sound. Jon is just as comfortable warming up for legend Carl Cox as he is banging out a peaktime sets and his diversity makes him a very popular Dj. Having just returned from Canada and Switzerland Jon will be heading straight over to the Thames for the Xmas party. Don’t miss him!!

http://www.jonrundell.com

www.myspace.com/jonrundell

Jon Gurd

With a CV that already boasts its own record label, radio show, world class productions and DJ appearances alongside many of the DJ greats, it’s evident that Jon Gurd has already matured into a highly respected artist. his sound that encompasses house and techno, delivered in a very distinctive fashion. As a former resident at Slinky in Bournemouth, Jon has starred alongside the likes of Dave Clarke, Billy Nasty and Mauro Picotto and it was here he really began to mak his name. Jon is another Dj making his ES debut and comes with a glowing reputation.

www.myspace.com/jongurd

Matt Weeks

Having been named the Future Hero Dj at the Gallery awards Matt Weeks has stepped it up a notch with more appearances at Ministry Of Sound and a number of ES appearances amongst his belt. Matt delivers a quality blend of deep house, progressive, melodic and chunky tech and is always faultless in his delivery. With productions in the pipeline as well 2010 promises to be a big year for Matt.

myspace.com/mattweeksmusic

Lizzie Curious

Lizzie has been our resident for nearly 3 years. She continuously performs at the highest level and is really beginning to make a name for herself. With her talents across the board with Djing, producing and vocialist work 2010 really promises to be even bigger than 09. After her summer residency with Robbie Riviera’s Juicy night, she has returned to ES with 3 of the most accomplished performances possible. With her endless enthusiasm behind the decks and her huge tune collection, you won’t see a better set on the boat, that can be assured.

www.lizziecurious.com

www.myspace.com/lizziecurious

The Persuaders

Brett Gould and Adam Lee make up this exciting duo and along with Lizzie have proved to be the most popular djs to rock the lower deck of the boat. We immediately made them residents after it became clear these boys knew how to rock the dance floor. They have never dissapointed, and their blend of big tunes, driving prog and pumping electro means their energy always is converted to the dancefloor. Also holding down a residency at Kidology its no fluke these boys are popular with the big promotions.

www.myspace.com/gouldandlee

www.electronicsessions.co.uk/residents/the-persuaders

Stu Cox

Stu Cox has been with ES pretty much since the start. Not only performing on 5 occasions but also involved with the design, running of the website and promotion. Aside from his obvious talent in design, Stu Cox is a highly accomplished Dj who given the dedication could easily go a long way. When Stu last featured for us, he had more people raving about him than the headliners on the day, with many people asking when he was back. Well december the 5th is the date, and he will be spinning his strange but really quite cool combination of pumping house, electro and techno with a twist.Don’t miss it.

http://www.stucox.co.uk/

www.myspace.com/djstucox

Leolife

These guys have been playing for us now for over a year although have only recently found their brand name ‘leolife’. Steven Glide and Luke Curran are 2 very diverse Djs who have not only played banging electro sets for us, but have also closed the upper deck with a storming trance set and kicked the night off with chunky prog. They really know how to work the night and running their own promotions they are a dedicated couple of Djs. This will be their 3rd appearance on the boat, and their 6th appearance for us in a year. Their new website and myspace page will be ready to go live shortly.

Mark Myers

This will be Marks 3rd appearance of 2009 and he is a well trusted, likeable dj who seems to always do the job. His talents have been also noticed by the Gallery, where he was nominated for the Future hero Dj awards, and has rocked the main bar as well as the other rooms there. His quality blend of chunky prog and melodic house goes down a treat with the ES Faithful and we can’t wait for more of the same in December.

www.myspace.com/markmyersuk

Jamie Parnell

Jamie is another Dj who has rocked the main bar at Ministry of Sound and his fantastic warm up sound caught our eye as a sound that would work perfectly on the boat. Jame mixes together a blend of house, techno and progressive that can work early on or towards the end of the night and we are very much looking forward to his ES Debut.

www.myspace.com/djjamieparnell

Simon Pisani

Simon is an extremely busy Dj and promoter who along with his partner Lizzie Curious have completely taken over the clubbing scene in the West of England. Si’s ‘Breakout’ night has been a revelation in Cheltenham, putting it on the map as a clubbing town, and having some of the best Djs around come and play for him, from Solarstone to K.Klass. He is just as enthusiastic about his music though and plays a variety of different styles. Si will be churning out the very best in progressive music for this boat party with an edge! if you havn’t seen him Dj before, he is a very talented fella!

www.myspace.com/djsimonpisani

Twisted Pear

Twisted Pear are a talented duo from Norwich, who along with Nick Bowman and Scotty and Jumby seem to be taking things forward for the scene up there with some big appearances in London. They performed extremely well for our sister night Plastic Fondu at Ministry of Sound and because of that we invited them to get down and dirty on the boat party for the xmas party. Well worth checking out!

www.myspace.com/twistedpeardjs

Joachim Walker & Detox

Joachim Walker is a young Dj who has performed fantastically well for Plastic Fondu now on 2 occasions. As recently as November the 7th for the Roger Sanchez night he had the loft full to the rafters despite Sanchez being on in the main room. Because of his 2 successful outings at Plastic Fondu we have invited him to make his ES debut on the boat with his good friend Detox who together will be delivering their sound of pumping house and electr.
